Tip of the Day #25: Embrace the Power of Paper

Tip of the Day #25: Embrace the Power of Paper It is no secret that I am paper obsessed (stationery, that is).  During graduate school, I worked part-time at Georgetown's Paper Source for about a year and often found myself getting lost in row after row of invitations and crafts.  Some people fall in the camp that an invitation's sole purpose is to provide information.  Honey, hate to say it, you're wrong!  If nothing else, an invitation has one particularly important role - it sets the tone of your event and in turn sets expectations of the style of your wedding and experience your guests may potentially have.

There are a plethora of progressive wedding invitation and graphic designers who have embraced whimsical and unique design ideas.  Make sure your save-the-date, invitation, programs and other printed materials really reflect your style as a couple.

If you do have a budget for printed materials, I suggest checking out Ceci New York, Mr. Boddington Studio and Cheree Berry -- they all do fabulous work!  If you're on a tighter budget or want the ease of online ordering (make sure you order samples!), I love Wedding Paper Divas and their vast selection of wedding invites.

After perusing Pinterest for, oh I don't know, a few hours (give or take), I wanted to share images of a few of my favorite invitations and printed materials to help drive your wedding paper inspiration.  Enjoy!
