THE KNOT NEW YORK CITY WORKSHOP 2017—RECAP AND PHOTOS!

We headed to the big apple for our first-ever The Knot New York City Workshop at The Ravel Hotel. The venue was the perfect location for our urban landscape inspired event. The day was filled with learning, networking, and gorgeous views of the New York City skyline.

Joanna of Square Mile Events incorporated so many bright and fun elements into the event design by pulling in fun and bright street art. We loved it all — from the graffiti stage backdrop (5Pointzcreates) to the bodega style flower decor (Karma Floral & Event Design). Our talented friend Kaleigh of Méldeen teamed up with Joanna to create all of the stationery designs, including coloring book style programs paired with colored pencils and bold “Creativity is Contagious” drink coasters (For Your Party). Views, yummy food and live music for the win during lunch! Guests were able to enjoy different cusines while taking in a beautiful view of the New York City skyline. We even had a jazz trio from Perrone Bros. Entertainment to set the mood! Let’s not forget the sequin linen that made the tables sparkle (Nuage Designs).

Attendees got the chance to learn from some pretty awesome guest speakers throughout the day. Local pros including Brittani Hon and Jon Hon of The Hons Photo & Video, Bob Conti of Ed Libby Events, Corrin Arasa of Patina Studios, Lauren Beamon of Elles Couture Events, Leah Weinberg of Color Pop Events, and Nikki Miller of Mae B. Films shared real life experiences. We also got to learn from Marcy Blum of Marcy Blum Associates (Networking in NYC), Jove Meyer of Jove Meyer Events ( LGBT Wedding Planning/Balance), Jessica Siskin of Mister Krisp (How To Think Creatively Every Day (And Still Run a Business), and Samantha Roberts, Social Media & Digital Marketing Strategist (Social Media 2.0).

We offered a super special breakout session for our NYC Workshop attendees. The breakout catered to djs and bands interested in learning how to build their dream client base. Attendees were able to sit in on an intimate learning session with Brian Buonassissi of DJ Brian B, Jason Fioto of Generation Events, Jason Jani of SCE Event Group, and Marianne Bennett of Element Music. After a long day of learning, we got to enjoy some quality party time with friends at The Ravel Hotel/Penthouse 808 rooftop beer garden! We enjoyed delicious cocktails and food while vibing to the Perrone Bros. Entertainment -Naked Soul Band. The night ended with a live painting of the party thanks to the talented Event Painting by Katherine.
