Tip of the Day #19: Eat, Drink and Be Married

Tip of the Day #19: Eat, Drink and Be Married A bride often spends days, even months poring over shades of sage green linens and styles of centerpiece vases.  Although it is fun to plan the decor details of a wedding, I believe there are three important keys to a successful wedding for all parties involved.  As a guide, memorize the mantra: Eat, Drink and Be Married!

Eat: This one's a no-brainer.  Make sure you have delicious, delectable, plentiful amounts of food available for your guests at the wedding.  Well fed people are generally happier and you'll help to prevent any excessively intoxicated guests.

Drink: The one thing you should never skimp on is an open bar.  There is no buzz kill worse than a cash bar at a wedding or {gasp!} a dry wedding.  Guests want to kick back and have fun at your wedding and flowing spirits often help to initiate the process of socializing.  Although an open bar can be pricey, I stand firm that it is an absolute must for a successful wedding.

Be Married: The key to a fun, carefree wedding is to actually ENJOY your nuptials.  Stop worrying about the visible grass stains at the bottom of your dress or falling a few minutes behind on your regimented timeline.  You {hopefully} will only get married once so live it up and make every minute of the day count.  The most memorable wedding photos are always of a bride and groom dancing and socializing with their friends and family.  Learn to be carefree, kick off your white satin Christian Louboutins and celebrate with the people that you love the most.  L'chaim!
